Snowflake Luxury Gelato, an award winning premium gelato company has six kiosks and boutiques already profitably operating across London. The brand wanted to review its concept, with a view to implementing an expansion plan that could be fuelled by its existing success. rpa:group was engaged to bring this new concept to life, which commenced with a new high profile site in London’s Westfield shopping centre and subsequent stores in the UK and the Middle East.
Drawing on traditional Italian and art deco themes, that are a genteel nod to the origin of the product, yet infused with contemporary influences, the new stores focus heavily on creating a sumptuous and evocative experience for their customers. Every fixture and fitting has been carefully considered to reflect the quality of the brand offering. The design is infused with contemporary influences; incorporating fluted bronzed glass, beautifully marbled and under-lit solid surface wrapped counters and sparkling polished internal fixtures.
The store design is an expansion of Snowflake’s core values of natural, high-quality ingredients, which guided the evolution of the brand palette, together with the personality of each individual location. Customer flow is a key consideration with the brand’s hot and cold offers. Snowflake encourages an increased dwell-time and engagement within their gelato offer, providing samples and allowing customers to discover their favourite flavours and combinations, before making their final purchases.
