New high-end townhouses completed in London’s Finchley

The development has been built on land purchased by Fruition Properties, that is adjacent to the 9-apartment development on Dollis Avenue, and forms part of the second phase of The Halley. Although just a 10 minute walk from Finchley Central, the three new homes benefit from close proximity to the tranquillity of Lyndhurst Gardens.

The exteriors are contemporary in appearance, with a material palette that is sympathetic to the local vernacular, as they are constructed with red brick and a white render. The homes all benefit from secure parking spaces at the front of The Halley and each have their own private gardens, with new landscaping and trees to create a haven of peace and tranquillity for the residents.

Internally, the fixtures and fittings are high spec with individually designed kitchens and bathrooms, generous ceiling heights, engineered oak timber flooring to ground floor, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchen and hallways and luxurious carpets to bedrooms. Sustainability and environmental impact have also been taken into consideration, with high quality, double-glazed windows, zinc cladding, top quality insulation and solar panels mounted on the roofs.

rpa:group has worked alongside Fruition Properties on various other developments across London and were appointed as stage 4 RIBA monitoring architects for the scheme, which included planning approval, tender drawings and value engineering to ensure expectations and quality were maintained. Various challenges were overcome, such as fully utilising the space on a relatively small site and overcoming delays and material shortages due to the pandemic. Work commended in July 2020, with completion in November 2021.
