Arcadia’s Outfit concept showcases multiple brands under one roof

One of the most recent of Arcadia’s Outfit stores has opened in the New Mersey Shopping Park in Liverpool. The Outfit concept brings the solo stores and individual brand assets into a single shop-in-shop environment, that allows shoppers the convenience of purchasing from Arcadia’s collection of high-street fashion brands, all within a purpose built shopping space.

The Liverpool Outfit store required an existing retail unit to be completely refurbished, and included the reconfiguration of a mezzanine level in order to house Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Evans, Burton and Topman. Although all sharing a large retail space, considerate planning of the lay out was required in order to showcase the individual retail offerings, while ensuring that individual brand identities were maintained.

The space is further enhanced and defined by eye-catching visual displays, fixtures and fittings that are synonymous to each brand, encompassing each in distinct “zones” to ensure clarity and to define the customer journey through the store.

rpa:group was retained by Arcadia to work alongside their in-house design team, to provide architectural services, that included a coordinated construction package, approvals and on site support. This forms part of a large scale Arcadia roll-out of various other Outfit stores across the UK, in which rpa:group’s architectural team is also assisting.
