Our Architecture and Project Management teams have been engaged by healthy fast food chain, Leon, to oversee the completion and openings of a series of new restaurants within the UK, Europe and Scandinavia, as part of their expansion development.
Founded in 2004, Leon’s first outlet opened on London’s Carnaby Street and six months later, it was named the ‘Best New Restaurant in Great Britain’ at The Observer Food Monthly Awards. Today it has 52 restaurants in the UK and Amsterdam, 25 of which have been designed and opened in the past 2 years alone, with plans to open more worldwide. Leon is a fast moving chain with a modern and progressive interior design concept, where every restaurant is bespoke to the actual building itself and to the local area in which it is situated.
rpa:group’s Interior Architecture division is working closely with Leon and their franchise partners on the design, customer flow analyses and layouts of the new restaurants. Acting as brand guardians, we are ensuring that the complete design packages are consistent with Leon’s carefully cultivated brand heritage.
The brand has been successfully reflected in the bright, bold and beautiful interiors and the use of natural materials to reflect the wholesome quality of the food that is served. Inherent across all restaurants is the classic brand imagery on the walls, such as the “Leon ladies” and the “hand holding the orange”, which is used in all signage and signifies the natural ingredients used in the food on offer.
