rpa:group has been responsible for the UK introduction of Kamps, Germany’s leading artisan bakery. Our Project Management division oversaw the full project and its adaptation to the UK market – from concept to delivery.
This included design, cost, programme and process management. Construction drawings and visualisations were undertaken by our Retail Architectural team, while our Graphics Designers developed the interior branding and graphic communication. The overall look and feel of the space is modern and utilitarian, with striking exposed brickwork, and steel lighting and white tiling, while the frequent use of wood references back to the artisan heritage of the brand and adds softening touches.
Careful planning and use of space has enabled customers to order at large, well-lit counters, from a bank of chalkboard-style menu panels, while seating areas give patrons the opportunity to observe the bakers preparing breads and German pastries.
