adidas Y3

avant-garde sportswear

brief

rpa:group was engaged to project manage the development and opening of Y3, an exciting new store for leading sports retailer, adidas. The Y3 store is located in ultra-trendy Convent Garden, in London’s West End, and is perfectly situated to entice the range of fashion savvy customers its products are aimed at. The existing retail unit, located in eclectic Floral Street retained a number of original features and varying volumes.

the distinctive monochromatic shop fit, shelves accented with neon green and orange highlights are signature Yohji Yamamoto, Adidas’ designer partner. The environment showcases stunning pieces of product alongside the more recognisable footwear and accessories ranges. A gallery-like DNA encapsulates the high-concept, yet surprisingly accessible, apparel design that emphasises the fleeting nature of the collections and the classic re-issues alike.
