rpa:group works with adidas to create Originals London flagship, as part of ‘global neighbourhood’ concept

adidas has opened a new cutting edge London Originals flagship, based on a design concept by Sid Lee. Situated on Foubert’s Place, off Carnaby Street, the design is based around the adidas ‘global neighbourhood’ concept, which “aims to be a part of the fabric of the city’s neighbourhood and create a distinct destination” according to Ted Mager, adidas Head of Retail Environments.

The Originals concept celebrates the best features of the retail space, and incorporates elements that make it distinctive and able to resonate with the landscape of the city in which it is located. rpa:group’s design team were responsible for retail planning and localised interior design treatments. Originals flagships, in which rpa:group has also been involved in the concept development, have already opened in Berlin, Shanghai and Seoul.
