New Adagio Aparthotel progressing well on Glasgow’s iconic waterfront

The iconic Grade A Listed Custom House on the banks of the River Clyde is being fully redeveloped and will include a new four-star, 303-bed Clayton Hotel and a 162-bed Adagio aparthotel. The striking and modern Aparthotel has been sensitively designed to compliment the local architectural vernacular and links to The Custom House via a covered courtyard and glazed roof. It will feature street-level bars and restaurants at the rear of the site and a terrace on the seventh-floor level that overlooks the river.

The building works have recently been completed, and the interior fit-out stages are now underway. rpa:group is working with Adagio as local Project Management consultants on an advisory role for the entirety of the scheme, managing snag lists, sample inspections and helping to ensure that the quality of their standards and requirements are upheld.

With developer Artisan Real Estate Limited behind a significant investment of £90m for the scheme, this new leisure and hospitality quarter is set to breathe new life into the neglected riverside area and is expected to be completed in Spring 2022.
