Wetherby Kensington is a new Pre-Prep school, which will be located at Wetherby Gardens, London SW5. It will be a two form, non-selective, pre-preparatory school for boys, from Reception to Year 3 and will follow the same curriculum and share the same values and ethos as Wetherby School, thus becoming an integral part of the Wetherby Group of schools, which also includes Wetherby Preparatory School and Wetherby Senior School. With Construction Costs estimated at circa £1.5M, works involve the adaptation and full refurbishment of a period 5-storey terrace house, in order to deliver eight classrooms, support offices, dining and welfare facilities.
Hannah House is a 5 storey early 20th century property, offering 26,000 sq. feet of space, part of which will be used to expand the capacity of Wetherby Senior, with the possible inclusion of a sixth form. With construction Costs circa £3.5M, Phase 1 works involve the complete strip out, adaptation and refurbishment of this existing D1 use building and including planning for the delivery of 16 classrooms (Years 5 to 8) over 5 floors, with full support facilities including teaching spaces for Science, Music & Drama, Art & DT.
Completion for both schools is expected at the end of August 2017, in order to welcome students at the beginning of the academic year in September 2017.
