Originally founded in the USA as the New Balance Arch Support Company, today New Balance is recognised as one of the world’s major sports footwear and apparel manufacturers, with a global following. The brand’s Oxford Street Flagship required an extensive refurbishment to incorporate their latest store design concept.
With extensive experience in delivering sportswear and apparel stores for some of the most iconic brands across the world, and having been the chosen construction and site managers for the original store eight years ago, rpa:group was appointed as Principle Designer, helping to manage the refurbishment of The New Balance Oxford Street flagship.
The new concept was successfully delivered, with aspects that include a field of play area, the installation of new dumb waiters and a “Made in UK” area. The new concept is also being rolled out among other stores throughout Europe.
