rpa:group assigned by AccorHotels to deliver Kensington hotel

French multinational hospitality company, AccorHotels, will be operating an 85-bedroom hotel in London’s Kensington, under its “Ibis Styles” brand.

The 83 bedroom hotel on Cromwell Rd, previously a Best Western hotel, is to undergo a total refurbishment, to align itself with the Ibis brand requirements. Key features will include the Ibis guest welcome programme that eliminates the need for a check-in desk and enables the staff to run the hotel via an app on mobile devices.

rpa:group’s role as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Principal Designer, is to work closely with AccorHotels and their main contractor; ensuring exceptional quality, cost management and timely delivery on a complex and tight site.

The delivery programme is expected to have all bedrooms completed by December, with public areas and the project successfully finished by the end of February 2019. The hotel will bring the number of Ibis branded hotels in the UK to 10, with AccorHotels’ total UK & Ireland portfolio reaching 235 properties.
