With 40 years of delivering retail environments for some of the world’s most iconic brands, rpa:group was retained by Alo Yoga to help realise their vision, by providing a range of Architectural services for both the Brompton Rd and Covent Garden stores, while working closely with their internal teams locally and in the USA, and with their chosen contractors.
Alo Yoga’s new Covent Garden Store is 5,000 sq. ft and spans an impressive three floors. It is located at the junction of the popular and central Neal Street and Earlham Street, in the Seven Dials district and offers a stylish and comfortable selection of high-end activewear and loungewear, and a range of accessories and wellness products.
The décor throughout the store is carefully designed to be in keeping with the brand’s Californian heritage, and features a fresh and bright aesthetic. The chore characteristics of the original listed building have also been retained, such as large areas of the original brickwork being kept exposed.
As it is a unique Grade 2 listed building in an historic setting, the project was not without challenges, which rpa:group helped to overcome so that the new store could successfully open to customers on time, and now joins other iconic brands that are making Covent Garden a go-to retail destination.
Alo Yoga’s European growth is set to continue, with a new store now open in Dublin’s Grafton Street, which rpa:group also helped to deliver.
