rpa:group was approached by developers LCPP Ltd to produce a construction package for 20 new homes in the charming seaside location of Polzeath in Cornwall.
The scheme comprises of 14 homes (with 4 and 5 bedrooms) with basement storage and car parking, and 6 Housing Association apartments. The designs take advantage of the latest technologies in sustainable construction, such as rainwater harvesting, air source heat pumps, solar panels etc.
Being developed on a severely sloping site that is also exposed to the coastal elements, this scheme has faced a few challenges, however, rpa:group worked closely with other consultants to ensure these were overcome whilst always ensuring the development remained in-keeping with this area of outstanding natural beauty by using local resources and materials.
