The latest design concept modernizes the chain’s appearance. Elements include a cleaner and bolder look, that lends a more modern and sophisticated image to the brand. Specific features include exposed ceilings and textured brick-effect walls, a strong use of timber and a semi open-plan kitchen for customers to watch food preparation as it happens.
The restaurants will also be enhanced by new graphics, with KFC Weoley Castle and KFC Tyburn in the Birmingham area, as well as KFC in Portsmouth’s Pompey Centre undergoing signage transformations from the traditional red, to an updated black. These, along with the Havant and Beckton stores that are also undergoing enhancements, will also include new driver/ delivery pick-up points to accommodate the increasing demand for home delivery of fast food.
Having already completed various construction packages for KFC’s branches in the south of England, rpa:group’s Architects will be working with KFC to deliver these image enhancement schemes. Our involvement includes receiving the brief for each restaurant, generating scheme proposal’s, and delivering the detailed drawing packs. Works are commencing over a phased roll-out, during the course of 2022.
