Our Architecture team worked in partnership with City Axis, on the delivery of Rolfs Nursery in Oxford Gardens W10. Rolfs required new premises within the W10 area, due to relocation. A property became available in the under crofting to a residential block owned by the local authority. The premises had been used as a residential care home for children, but had remained unused for some time. The external areas were in very poor condition and were over looked by the access balconies to the residence.
Following the full strip out, the project team were able to re-design the space to accommodate a large learning area with a dedicated outside play area along with additional classrooms and support functions for the early years children. With the addition of a timber bre-solar to the outside space, the problems of shading and being overlooked have been addressed.
The project was completed on time to enable Rolfs to relocate to their new home in the heart of W10.
